College of Letters & Science
The College of Letters & Science is the heart of UW–Madison. The university’s largest academic unit, L&S is home to the arts and humanities; the natural and physical sciences; the social sciences; and the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences. L&S enrolls nearly 50 percent of UW–Madison undergraduates, and its faculty teach 65 percent of all undergraduate credit hours.
