College of Letters & Science
The College of Letters & Science is the heart of UW–Madison. The university’s largest academic unit, L&S is home to the arts and humanities, the natural and physical sciences, and the social sciences. We enroll half of all UW–Madison undergraduates, and our faculty teach 65 percent of all undergraduate credit hours. If you’ve studied at UW–Madison, you’ve experienced L&S.
