The Undergraduate Student Success Fund holds the potential to transform the lives of students at the Wisconsin Union. Students’ involvement at the Union has a transformative impact on their educational experience. The Union has always been and remains committed to providing students with unparalleled opportunities to thrive as leaders, scholars, and responsible global citizens.
That commitment is demonstrated through the Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD), as well as other Union-sponsored student groups. The students who lead these groups execute thousands of extraordinary events and out-of-classroom experiences for their fellow students and the greater campus community each year. These opportunities for real-world application of learned skills and personal growth take hundreds of hours. This work is easily equivalent to a fellowship or internship experience.
The Undergraduate Student Success Fund aspires to support various aspects of student success within and beyond the classroom. Donor support will enable students to engage in experiential learning, high-impact practices, and development of intercultural competence. Notably, the fund’s impact will extend to all student leaders at the Union, regardless of socioeconomic status, degree, major, or academic year. The fund supports fellowships, internships, scholarships, and other valuable learning opportunities, such as professional development conferences and seminars.
