For more than 20 years, the Religious Studies Program has been the center of the academic study of religion at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Our research and teaching use critical methods from the humanities and social sciences to approach religion as a transhistorical and global phenomenon that exists within and beyond religious traditions. Our faculty and students ask questions that get to the core of what matters, and how it comes to matter, to human lives.
How your gifts make an impact
Your gift, of any size, ensures that the program continues to flourish for decades to come, offering current students the same interesting classes, keynote lectures, and well-earned celebrations that made you value your time in religious studies.
Why we need your support
Your support will help religious studies students continue to “study what matters” and make a difference on campus, in Wisconsin, and around the world.
Gifts made in support of the Religious Studies Program will be contributed to Religious Studies Program Fund at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
