MSC students gather for a picture

Multicultural Student Center

At a university as large as UW–Madison, finding one’s community can be difficult, but helping every student feel at home is the vision behind the Multicultural Student Center (MSC). Founded in 1988, the MSC now includes four identity centers: the Black Cultural Center (established 2017), the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Student Center, the Latinx Cultural Center (both established 2019), and the Indigenous Student Center (established 2021). The MSC provides cocurricular experiences that center, affirm, and celebrate the diverse and intersectional identities of students of color at UW–Madison. The spaces, programs, and services are designed to cultivate a sense of belonging and community while strengthening all students’ capacities to learn, lead, and thrive.

Donations to this fund will directly support the vital initiatives that improve retention, support academic success and well-being, and foster an authentic sense of belonging among students of color. Your gift will help the MSC to achieve its mission: to collaboratively strengthen and sustain an inclusive campus where all students, particularly students of color and other historically underserved students, can realize the authentic Wisconsin Experience.

Thank you for your generosity! Your gift can make a big difference.
