The Mercile J. Lee Scholars Program (MJLSP) is a four-year tuition scholarship program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison that supports nearly 500 high-achieving undergraduate students. Named in honor of its founder, the late Dr. Mercile J. Lee, MJLSP nurtures a diverse group of scholars who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. MJLSP provides rigorous academic support, leadership development, and community engagement to equip its scholars to become active citizens, leaders, and change makers in their fields and communities.
Your gifts to MJLSP provide our scholars with the resources and opportunities they need to excel by funding academic advising, leadership training, and experiential learning opportunities. Your support ensures our scholars can thrive in and out of the classroom.
As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of MJLSP, we are reminded of the importance of investing in the next generation of scholars. The ever-evolving landscape of higher education, coupled with the financial challenges many students face, makes your support crucial. By giving to the MJLSP, you are not only sustaining the legacy of Dr. Mercile J. Lee but also empowering future leaders to make a difference in their communities and beyond. Your generosity ensures that the program continues to grow and adapt, meeting the needs of scholars for years to come.
Gifts made in support of the Mercile J. Lee Scholars Program will be contributed to Mercile J. Lee Scholars Program Discretionary Fund at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
