With each new academic year, the need for more robust mental health support for our students becomes increasingly evident. Our students face numerous challenges, and ensuring access to vital mental health resources is essential for their success. The mental health and suicide prevention program provides our students with the support they need to navigate these challenges. Your gift will help enhance suicide prevention and mental health promotion efforts at UW–Madison including:
- Development, implementation, and evaluation of suicide prevention trainings and educational opportunities for UW–Madison students, faculty, and staff.
- Distribution of safety tools such as medication lock boxes and gun locks.
- Development and implementation of campaigns related to stigma reduction, increasing help-seeking behaviors, and building a culture of care on our campus.
- Reduction of barriers to campus mental health services by providing financial assistance to students and improving access to and continuity of mental health care.
Your contribution helps to build the capacity of all UW–Madison community members to support student mental health, prevent suicide, and reduce health disparities that exist for students on our campus.
Your generosity truly makes an impact. Thank you for your support.
Gifts made in support of the mental health and suicide prevention program will be contributed to the University Health Services Suicide Prevention Fund at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
