Sometimes a single experience can expand a student’s world forever.
Through study abroad, domestic study away, and international internships, UW–Madison students discover new cultures, challenge their assumptions, build confidence, and develop a deeper understanding of the world and their place within it. These experiences inspire new ambitions, shape career paths, foster lifelong friendships, and often become defining moments in a student’s journey.
Yet for many students, the opportunity to pursue these experiences remains out of reach because of financial barriers.
The Study Abroad Alumni and Friends Fund helps make life-changing learning experiences possible. Your generosity provides scholarships and support that open doors for students who might otherwise never have the chance to study, work, or learn beyond their familiar surroundings.
A gift to this fund is more than financial assistance; it is an investment in possibility. It empowers students to embrace new perspectives, pursue their goals with confidence, and return home with skills, insights, and experiences that will influence their lives for years to come.
Thank you for your support and for doing a world of good!
About the International Division
The International Division promotes global engagement in each new generation at UW–Madison, leading campus efforts in study abroad, language learning, area studies scholarship, and international collaborations, and welcoming international students, faculty, and staff. At the same time, we develop programs that offer Wisconsin students and educators the chance to explore international issues and prepare them for their role in the global community.
