For more than 60 years, UW–Madison’s Department of Computer Sciences (CS) has been educating and training Wisconsin’s top professionals in the field. Today, we’re the most popular major on campus, serving thousands of students across graduate and undergraduate programs.

How your gifts make an impact

As Wisconsin’s tech industry grows, so does its need for world-class computer science graduates. With your support, a computer science education remains rigorous, marketable, and accessible.

There are a few ways your donation helps the next generation of computing professionals:

  • Supporting student organizations
  • Building community among our undergraduate and graduate students
  • Covering registration fees for national competitions and professional conferences
  • Providing scholarships, graduate fellowships, and summer research funding

Why we need your support

As state and federal sources of support for the university shrink, private support plays an increasingly critical role in maintaining this level of excellence. Your gift, of any size, will benefit students and ensure CS remains a top department.

Gifts will be contributed to the Department of Computer Sciences Annual Fund – 132251600 at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
