The Chazen Museum of Art has served as a vibrant hub of creativity, education, and engagement on UW–Madison’s campus for more than 50 years. Open seven days a week and always free, the museum welcomes more than 180,000 students and community members annually.
How your gifts make an impact
Every gift — no matter the size — helps the museum continue to thrive. Through your generosity, the Chazen provides transformative experiences for our visitors through free public programming, tailored educational opportunities, and innovative exhibitions. Your contributions ensure the museum can fulfill our commitment to teaching, learning, and collaborative dialogue with our students, faculty, and communities.
Why we need your support
This fall, the Chazen will unveil a total reinstallation of our permanent collection across our galleries. This multiyear initiative is the most substantial project the museum has undertaken since the building expansion opened in 2011. The innovative approach will provide multiple pathways to engagement, foster deeper connections between art and understanding, and expand the accessibility of our rich collection.
A project of this scale would not be possible without the support of people like you. Your gifts enable the museum to remain nimble so we can take risks, grow, and adapt to our ever-changing world. We look forward to welcoming you, our Friends of the Chazen, to experience the museum in a whole new way. Thank you for making this possible.
