Students enjoying a field day

College of Agricultural & Life Sciences

At the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS), we believe making a strong start sets students up for success. That is why 100 percent of CALS first-year students complete a seminar course, such as QuickStart, a summer program that allows incoming students to jump-start their college experience. Many incoming CALS students also participate in First-Year Interest Groups, which are clusters of classes that explore a common theme.

Gifts to the CALS Fund help us sustain these programs so students can explore different areas of study, learn how to access student services, and develop a network of mentors and peers. Students who participate in CALS strong-start programs report feeling better prepared and more connected to the college. Your support enables us to continue to offer and expand these initiatives.
