Badger Recovery plays a vital role in supporting UW–Madison students who are in, or considering, recovery from addiction. This may include, but is not limited to: alcohol misuse, cannabis misuse, eating concerns, gaming addiction, or other addictive behaviors, Badger Recovery offers a lifeline for students seeking to reclaim their lives. Its mission is clear: to create a welcoming and inclusive recovery community, providing the resources, connections, and support students need to thrive.
With your support, we can ensure students have access to life-changing resources, including:
- Peer support groups and sober social activities, both on and off campus, that help students build lasting, meaningful connections in a substance-free environment.
- Educational workshops that empower students in recovery with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to maintain their recovery while pursuing their academic dreams.
- Weekly recovery meetings, free of charge, led by students, that offer structure, encouragement, and a safe space for growth and wellness.
- Advocacy and outreach efforts that challenge stigma, raise awareness, and foster a more supportive, understanding campus culture for students in recovery.
Your contribution isn’t just helping individual students — it’s strengthening the entire UW–Madison community. By promoting a culture of wellness, inclusion, and support, you are making a lasting impact that reaches far beyond the students in recovery.
Thank you for your generosity and partnership. Together, we are creating a healthier, more supportive campus where every student can thrive.
Gifts made in support of Badger Recovery will be contributed to the Collegiate Recovery Fund at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
