Students conducting anthropology research

Anthropology

Anthropology faculty and students are making a difference through research that builds connections with communities around the world.

How your gifts make an impact

The Department of Anthropology is deeply grateful to everyone who helps cultivate undergraduate and graduate student success. Every gift has a direct impact on our educational and research mission. While a small contribution might fund a day of field accommodations or print a student’s research poster, a larger gift can provide the airfare that helps a student travel to their field site for the very first time. We are incredibly proud of our ability to maximize every contribution and make limited resources go far!

Why we need your support

Your generosity enables this vital, engaging work by funding student research, travel, and connections with communities. We use these funds to help students present their research at professional conferences, secure early fieldwork opportunities, and connect with communities both in Wisconsin and in their field locations. Every gift drives new discoveries and pushes students toward their goals. We deeply appreciate this support, which so often inspires students to further their careers in service and research!

Gifts will be contributed to the Department of Anthropology Fund – 132540222 at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
