Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, our UW-Madison Posse Program is celebrating 25 years as a thriving community on campus. The UW-Madison Posse Program is one of the oldest and largest Posse partner programs in the country. We are excited to be celebrating our 25th anniversary this fall and have supported over 600 scholars from matriculation through graduation with a full-tuition scholarship and a deep network of mentorship, advising, and support during this time. We provide a critical space of mutual support that emphasizes academic excellence and serves as a home away from home for more than 160 remarkable young people each year. It is a unique resource that would be impossible to maintain without your support, and we are truly grateful.
Your philanthropy makes a tremendous impact at every stop along our scholars’ journey through UW. It funds a dedicated space our students can come to study, print a paper, grab a snack, ask a piece of advice from their mentor, or just sit in community with their posse. It provides crucial grants to students facing financial or other life crises, from health emergencies, housing and basic needs insecurity, unexpected educational expenses, or simply not being able to afford a ticket home for the holidays. It helps support our incredibly talented and dedicated staff, who work tirelessly to make sure our scholars have the tools they need to thrive. And, of course, it allows us to continue to provide 160+ full-tuition awards so these remarkable young people we serve can focus on excelling in the classroom instead of the financial barriers they face in pursuing their education.
