The Information School (iSchool) has a long and rich history, dating back more than 100 years to when the Wisconsin Library School became part of UW–Madison. Now part of the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences, the iSchool provides a broad array of programs that keep pace with the evolving demands of the information age.

As technology transforms how information is generated and accessed, our faculty are pioneering research in growing areas, including science of science, human-centered cybersecurity and data privacy, and medical informatics — illuminating new horizons for our students.

Your gift to the iSchool’s Annual Fund during Fill the Hill directly impacts students through:

  • Hands-on experiences: Internships and practica provide our students with real-world experience that sets them apart in today’s competitive job market. Your gifts play a pivotal role in facilitating placements and financial assistance to those in need.
  • Scholarships: As the iSchool grows with diverse programs and students, we’re breaking financial barriers and increasing access to our programs through scholarships that attract and retain exceptional talent, cultivating the next cohort of information leaders.

We are shaping the future of information. Make a gift today to impact iSchool students for generations to come.

Gifts made in support of the Information School  will be contributed to Library and Information Studies Annual Fund at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
