The Arboretum offers natural beauty, gardens, miles of trails, and a cherished retreat from day-to-day life. Yet it is far more than that – through science-based research, land care, and environmental education, we strive to engage communities in fostering healthy and diverse landscapes.
For 90 years, the Arboretum has served as a historic outdoor laboratory for ecological research and restoration of the land. These core programs continue and evolve, and more people than ever visit for personal enjoyment and learning.
How your gifts make an impact
Your gift to the Friends of the Arboretum Fund supports work with lasting impact, such as providing outdoor education for youth and families, teaching about the use of native plants in home landscapes, and engaging the community in urban conservation issues and citizen science. We welcome gifts in any amount – especially first-time gifts!
Why we need your support
Your support helps us serve the local community and beyond to provide outdoor experiences and environmental education for all ages, restore and conserve Arboretum land, and conduct and facilitate ecology-based research.
Gifts made in support of the Arboretum will be contributed to the Friends of the Arboretum Fund at the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
